Hunting for wardrobe and kitchen system is A PAIN IN THE ASS. Let me explain why.Being a meticulous person like me, getting what I want according to my plan is a NIGHTMARE.
Here are a list of things one need to consider (in random order):

1. Type of material you want. Melamine, Solid wood (oak, rose wood, teak), spray paint (glossy or matte)

2. Your kitchen design. How many drawers should one have? how many cabinets? tall unit? one that open like a door. sliding?

3. Feng shui. Yes ! Feng Shui. Apparently, you can't have your sink opposite your gas stove. It's bad feng shui. Bad Bad Bad. They say "you can't have fire and water facing each other. It'll create havoc.
BUT that's exactly how my kitchen is suppose to be. I will not compromise, I won't take any chances. And I insisted my designer to shift the gas stove parallel to my sink no matter what it takes.

Buying tonnes of Interior Design Books, Mag...doesn't help either. The design is NOT practical for my small kitchen.

4. Then you come to built-in stove. Apparently there's 6, 8, 10, 12 ...functions cooking. Scratch head like crazy. I mean an oven is still an oven.

5. Did I mention the marble table?

Then there is the BUDGET. Yes.. $$$$$$
One designer actually came up with a computer simulationof how my kitchen and wardrobe would look like. And what I can say is it's looks GREAT. It looks real. I told her what I want and she came up with the design.

The price??? *&%#% RM21,000-00 (After discount) for ONLY the kitchen and a wardrobe !
