Honest to god, if I saw this walking toward me in the night, it would take about 3 seconds to convince me it was alive before I tried to chop its head off. If you saw this in the jungle, you would throw a net over it. Then poke it with a stick and jump back startled when it spoke. Then you would probably ask it for wishes. Never in a million years would it occur to you that it was human.

People who live at the bottom of the ocean aren't this pale ! *shudder*

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Christmas is the 2nd best time of the year after cny. And december is always the best month of the year with holidays, christmas carols, holidays and more holidays.

I have not been able to put up my Christmas since I left for KL 3 years ago. One of the reason, I got back is so that I would be able to dig out my X-mas tree from the back of my closet and put it up again. Love beautifully decorated X-mas trees and X-mas carols. They always bring a sense of joy and peace in me.

Something is missing at the top of my X-mas tree, so I decided to place this Red Sesame Street character on top to complete it.

But still, something is missing. Its the x-mas light !
Well, the light have fused.

Oh what the heck ! I still like my X-mas tree.

Next year, i'm getting a bigger one for my new house. Watch-out.

My cousin, Stephanie came to visit all of us 2 weeks ago. It has been 11 years. Didn't manage to catch-up with her in Penang but I managed to do so at Westin KL before she left for Melbourne the next day.

The case of the missing sport shoe - the happy ending

My quest continued the next day at Times Square. Few weeks ago I saw this really cool cross trainer at a Nike boutique. It caught my attention as it was not displayed among all the 'old models'. I took it up for a closer look, and boy it was really light. Of course, the next thing is to search for the price tag lor. Curiosity always kills the cat. RM329.00. I think the cat ciao liao.

Now that I'm on a quest for a new shoe, I revisited that shop to check things out. The shoe is still there. hmmm...the price is 'still there' too. I was secretly hoping that they would throw in some discounts.

Inside 1U, I can't find the shoe I want. Yeah, I know, I can't believe it either.

Fussy woman.

The shape and the color of my old shoe and the cool zipper that it has still lingers in my mind. My mind is playing trick on me. Can't get you outta my mind.... My new shoe has to look the same (or almost).

"Haiyah....your old shoe is history la, can put inside sejarah book already, let bygone be bygone". "You have to move on (to another shoe)".

My new shoe has to be light, not overly fancy and accepted by common people (ie; does not look like a spaceship, a banana or even a vessel). No bold pattern (I'm not making a statement) like bright yellow stripes against black base. Must not be odd looking. Must not have hello kitty or garfield (or any sort of animal character) embroidered on it. Preferably no shoe lase.

Damn fussy woman.

After walking in...and out of over 10 shops (including 4 Nike boutiques), I finally call it a day.

The case of the missing shoe - Part 1

Some idiot fella had stolen my favourite one of its kind Reebok shoe. She had faithfully served me for almost 2 years and i never thought it would ended up this way.

My quest for a new shoe begins yesterday. Christmas is jst around the corner and the year end sale had begun. As I was on my way to 1U, happily picturing in my mind what would my new shoe look like. This came to a sudden stop when another idiot driving a gold colored Honda City almost hit me when he attempted to overtake without signal.

Bastards !

He could have at least look at his mirror and make sure the line is clear first. I can’t tolerate such reckless driving. Naturally, I slammed on the horn.

Not satisfied.

Something had gotten into me that morning as I just had to make sure that that %$@# know that i'm pissed off. Overcome with rage, I overtook him and flashed my middle finger at him. Nahhhhhhhhh......

Siong, who is seated calmly beside me was dumfounded without words, not at the car but the finger thing i did.

Felt a sense of relieve after that.

This is a city is worth visiting.
Package tours are not recommended as most of the temples, night bazaars, markets, and shopping malls are easily accessible by train and boat. This way, you get to go places as and when you like and leave as and when you like. AND not contributing to the already crazy Bangkok jam.

This piece of art caught my attention as I entered Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok's new airport) named by His Majesty King. It means Golden Land.

This superb piece of art entitled SCENE FROM THE CHURNING OF THE MILK OCEAN. This scene depicts the Amarita creation myth where gods and demons churn the cosmic ocean to create the elixir of immortality to bring everlasting life.

The scene is too long to capture the entire piece with my camera. No landscape mode. @!#&%.

My last stop at Bangkok-CHATUCHAK WEEKEND MARKET.
I'm impressed man ! This is no doubt the Mother of all markets, possibly one of the biggest and most famous markets in the world. Covering 35 acres of land with 15,000 stalls. Like Penang VS the entire China, literally. Imagine you need a map the venture the entire place, but somehow i still find myself going round in circle.

You can find everything here. Household goods, craft, pets, plants, foods, everything. They have the entire section for pets.

MENAM RIVERSIDE HOTEL. yeap...its by the "riverside". All their rooms comes with cool view of Chao Phraya River. This is the pool swimming photo taken at night.

Boat shuttle service from hotel to Saphan Taksin Station (Bangkok Sky Train). Only 7 minutes.

THE GRAND PALACE. Built in 1782. For 150 years, it has been the home for Thai King. Also accessible by boat.

After paying 100 baht and posing while waiting for my turn to get into the gondolas. It's definately worth my 100 baht.

LA ROUE DE PARIS (Paris' wheel). Direct from Paris and also previously featured in the UK and the Netherlands. Its will remain for 6 months. Its 335 tons and 60m tall, the biggest in Asia.

Inside the outdoor a large outdoor beer garden cum food court cum concert venue at Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Endless rows of international and local foods, dessert and drinks here. Im spoilt for choice. Picture above are Thai assortment of sausages. They alsi have some weird food like dead but raw baby crab mashed together with other stuff, sort of like rojak. ewee....

SUAM LUM NIGHT BAZAAR. This place is almost similar the Batu Ferringhi. Very touristy atmosphere. Ah mor kau everywhere. But i personally prefer here than PatPong, also similar concept but very 'chap' (complicated).

SIAM PARAGON. Very upmarket mall in Bangkok. Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Burberry, Hermes, etc. At the basement you can find the biggest aquarium in Asia - Siam Ocean World.

Celebrity Scoop @ Mandarin Oriental

Yes. That's the theme for this year's annual dinner. We have "Madonna", "Cleopatra", "Phua Chu Kang", "Supergirl", "the Flintstone", "Phantom of the Opera", "Captain James Sparrow", "Queen Latiffa", "Elvis Presley" and more and more and more celebrities. Dinner include group performances by various departments and of course entertainment of 2 local celebrities (real celebrities, not fake wan). I had loads of fun not dressing up as a "celebrity", but go CLEBRITY HUNT. These are just a handful of 'celebrities' that I managed to hunt down. kekeke

They only gave us 1 paddle to get to the other side of the river. Naturally, we won cos our teammates are feather weight.

Dinner cum team night performance was held at cowboy town. No need for me to say who is the odd one in this photo. He is our creative director for our team performance.

We also had PAINTBALL. I have heard of it but never seen it or played one till now. It was powerful and loads of FUN. Not to mentioned very adrenalin rush for me, cos my no. 1 objective is not to grab the flag and win but to avoid being HIT. It is a game of strategy, like going to a war. Blood drips and your skin peels when you're hit directly at close range. Most of them finnished the game with "love bites". But i managed to finnish unscatered, of course we lost.
